Spooky Bottom Scenic Dock and Providence Harbor scenery
The Spooky Bottom Scenic Dock is a great place to spent some time on the Providence River—no boat needed. The dock is located off the East Bay Bike Path. Watch out for the sign next to the bicycle path at the University Orthopedics building. The L-shaped river dock points northward. While walking to its end, one can enjoy views of the Providence skyline. Turning northeast, the nearby bicycle path section between the river and Watchemoket Cove comes into view. And looking down into the dark-blue to brownish water, you probaly won't hany luck to see the bottom of the river. I am still wondering about the spooky happening down there, which I I may have missed during my vist.My other favorite riverside spot along the bike path is the vista point for the Pomham Rocks Lighthouse—about one mile farther south-southeast.
