Grass Lake seen from Mt. Washington Trail

Grass Lake

Grass Lake with Little Jamison Creek Trail alongside its east shore

Grass Lake is located in eastern Plumas County. From the Jamison Mine trailhead in the Plumas-Eureka State Park, it takes a 1.25-miles-long uphill hike to get to the lakes northeast corner. The Little Jamison Creek Trail continues on alongside Grass Lake and through quaking aspen, then crosses Jamison Creek and begins climbing up to the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT). Shortly before arriving at the Little Jamison Creek Trail/PCT junction, Mt. Washington Trail forks off to the north with spectacular vista points, from where you can enjoy a bird's-eye view of Grass Lake as well as Wades Lake, Jamison Lake and Rock Lake.
