“Sunflowers for Vincent”— a Savin Hill Cove landmark

Sunflowers for Vinvent

The sculpture “Sunflowers for Vincent” by Mark di Suvero shines next to the UMass Harborwalk promenade at the northern tip of Savin Hill Cove. In 2012, a few weeks after the 7-ton sculpture was intalled, Dorchester Reporter Chris Hardin wrote in a dotnews.com article:
The eye-catching interactive sculpture is di Suvero's homage to one of his favorite artists, Vincent van Gogh, whose paintings of sunflowers are some of the Dutchman's most famous.
