Park and tourist services for
Crater Lake National Park are
concentrated on the southwest rim of the caldera.
The visitor center with its book store is
located between the
Crater Lake Lodge
and the Village Café & Gift Shop.
The Sinnot Meomrial Overlook is nearby.
Like the grand lodge, the relatively small visitor center was built
in the rustic-themed style of the Rim Village. Originally, it served as a
studio for photographer Fred Kiser,
whose photographs, postcards and paintings were sold here.
